I’ve been using LibraryThing to track my books and my reading habits for the past few years and I love it. But I am reluctant to give out the details of my account there because it is linked to my real name (if you are one of the people who knows me well enough and you’re interested then let me know and I’ll give you the relevant information). A while ago I decided to try Goodreads as well, because it seems to be a much more popular service. I didn’t like it anywhere near as much as LibraryThing, although I don’t think I can adequately explain why - it just didn’t suit me as much. But now I have been tempted to give it another shot, especially because I know quite a few of you use it, and I’d like to be able to join in with that community. I can’t be bothered adding all of my books again though (I tried importing them from LibraryThing via Excel, but that was a massive failure). So I’ve set up an account which I am only going to use to track the books that I read in 2012. Right now there are only a few books there on my to-read list, but I should be able to keep it up to date as I read more books throughout the year. If you use Goodreads then please let me know and I can add you there (or however it works, I’m still figuring that all out).
